A rare wall flowervase by roger capron in white ceramic with patterned design created usingparaffin during the glazing process, as well as a black / yellow paintedpattern on the belly.

This large piece(20cm) is initialed at the flat of the back "R C" for roger capron.

It is in perfectcondition.

Roger capron studiedapplied arts in paris then moved to vallauris in 1946 where he founded aceramics workshop, contributing to the local renaissance of ceramics. In 1952,he purchased an abandoned pottery and opened a small ceramics factory, with 15workers. By 1957 he had established a considerable international reputation. In1980 his factory employed 120 people and during that same decade he reverted tomaking one-off pieces which were shown internationally. Following an economiccrisis, the factory was closed in 1982. Capron died in 2006, leaving behind aconsiderable body of work that is recognized worldwide.
