The design of the Onoto Magna Classic is based on one of the most famous fountain pens ever made - the Onoto Magna of 1937, which some have dubbed 'the best fountain pen ever made'.

Onoto pens are on occasion designed to commemorate influential historical persons, institutions and other circumstances where a special pen would pay the perfect homage. The Shakespeare collection celebrates the 'Bard of Avon' whose plays are still being performed, turned into films and studied in countless schools the world over, despite being written more than 400 years ago.
