Gorgeous old Canon Canodate E film camera in really excellent cosmetic condition and all working except the film advance is stuck so cannot take a photo. This camera was the first to introduce date imprinting on photographs and for many photographers was a dream come true.
This camera had previously been bench tested with appropriate batteries and electronics appeared fully functional, lens focused and aperture changed according to the adjusting rings and shutter fired.
Lens is clean and clear, film and battery compartments are immaculate and light seals are intact.
Camera features:
- 40mm f/2.8 lens
- Electronic Seiko shutter (with speeds from 1/500 to 4 seconds set automatically)
- Red lamp in viewfinder to warn of camera shake, and for battery check indicator
- Takes regular 2 x SR44 batteries using battery adaptors (PX625 adapters are cheaply available on eBay)
- Date function (to print the date in the corner of each photo).
