Watercolour, early 1900s. I would say that the picture was used as a book illustration of an old Russian tale (whose text appears below). Signed "N. Ilyin" in cyrillic, possibly Nikolai Vasilyevich Ilyin (1894-1954).

Size without frame: 24cm x 29cm.

Condition: some scratches to the frame, normal wear.

Keep out of sunlight so the colours do not fade. Watercolours are not sunproof.
