Description

A Victorian Walnut Combined Work Box and Writing Slope; the exterior with Fine Quality Inlays in differing woods and in the style of Tunbridge Ware. The Interior with a fitted lift out tray for Sewing and a Mirror with pouch behind inside the top. Fine Gilded decoration around the Mirror.

The tray lifts out and the Box fold outwards to reveal a Velvet writing slope with gilded borders with a stamp slope, a glass Inkwell and a Pen Tray behind. There is a compartment below for papers etc.

 Width. 30 Cm. (12"). Height. 17.5 Cm. (6.75"). Depth. 22.5 cm. ( 8.75" ).

Condition

  Age related Wear. Some veneer loss on one side. Missing brass lock escutcheon. Original but worn felt on the base. Imperfections on the Mirror glass. Damage to the middle of the velvet slope. No Key.
