Presented is a very deep, large-bowled, antique tipt silver punch or soup stew ladle made in the Netherlands some time in the mid -1800's. Of course it's a great punch ladle, but this would be perfect for serving a crowd your famous gumbo, cioppino or beef stew, or you might set it next to your uncle's place at the Thanksgiving table to ensure he gets enough gravy!

The hallmarks under the handle are only partially legible, marked by the maker "B&V", and with part of a crown showing that resembles the Dutch tax or import mark. We have tested the ladle and guarantee that it is made of 90 percent (coin) or higher silver.

The condition of the ladle is very good for its age. It has no damage other than a few small dents in the bowl. There is very little surface wear, and it all polishes beautifully bright.

Dimensions:  12 3/4 inches long with a 3 1/2 inch diameter by 1 1/4 inch deep bowl
Ladle Capacity: 6 ounces / 3/4 cup

Weight:  168 grams
