Presented is a fine, antique, English sterling silver gravy or sauce ladle made by William Eley of London in 1803. This early 19th century piece is done in a classic, rounded antique form handle. The front of the handle has a royal crown crest over the initials MJB.


The back is marked with the crowned leopard’s head for London, the lion passant for sterling silver, a date letter H for the year 1803, a duty mark of the king’s head and a maker’s mark for William Eley.  


This piece is in excellent condition.
