This auction is for an original RAF Aeronautical chart map of Sicilia / Sicily / Italy. It is scale 1:1,000,000, has a map reference 344. The map was based on a USAF chart produced in 1950 and published by the War Office (London) in 1951 - so over 70 years old. There is some age related foxing, but it is in very good condition. The colours are very clear with no apparent fading. It has been produced in the Army/Air style, where relief is indicated in shades of blue and purple rather than browns.
