A beautifully made original suit from the 1940s. Label states ‘The Ideal ‘ and is attached at the neck and also inside the jacket.

Beautiful satin lining to the jacket. The skirt is unlined and has two side pleats and a neat ‘Lightning’ metal zip at the side.

Fabric appears to be a wool mix. No label indicates fabric composition. There is a paper label in the side of the skirt but this just has a few numbers on and sadly not CC41 !

This would comfortably fit a current 12/14 U.K. although the waist is more nipped in than today’s styling. Please see measurements.

Armpit to armpit across the back is 20 inches , length along the back seam is 25.5 inches , shoulder to shoulder is 16 inches.

The skirt has a 30 inch waist, length is 31 inches and hips are approximately 45 inches at their widest.

Excellent condition with no holes, tears, fades or marks however the collar is slightly stiffer and I think has been exposed to abit of dust from storage. Please see photos for condition.

This is an original item, in a decent size and in exceptionally good condition.
