When I first got the set it had no track and the locomotive didn’t work. The locomotive now has a new motor courtesy of the people at strathpeffer junction. The locomotive is nicely weighted at the motor end but not at the other end. I would recommend adding some weight to keep it firmly on the track. The track also needs fixing down not laid out on the carpet in the lounge like I have for the photos. I am supplying the track shown in the photos which makes a nice oval and a siding. The curved track is all Lima as are the points and the straight sections are all PECO. All the curves are power connections so it’s easy to power up anywhere! Some of the track is quite dirty and will need a good clean

It was extremely impressive seeing this trundle round this morning. I had to use some wire to connect the locomotive to the coaches because the couplings have been removed from the locomotive bogies but I don’t think that’s a big fix. I haven’t done anything with the couplings because you may want couplings of your own choosing. Or source a used Lima bogie with the original coupling to pull the coaches

I would say that the condition of the locomotive and coaches is excellent but they do need a clean. The track is a mix of new and unused and used but as you can see it makes an oval with a siding and that’s a pretty good start. Overall dimensions of the track shown is 2.4 metres by 1.6 metres approximately and there’s the additional lengths included to make it bigger or change it. The box is quite tattered but it is still the original box which is always nice to have. The controller is the original battery one. I have no idea if it works. I just used one of my old controllers to power it up. I’m sure anyone buying this will want to use their own controller anyway. I wanted to convert the locomotive to DCC ( Limas are so easy) but I already have enough projects on the go so that is something that could be considered by the lucky buyer.

All in all a lovely complete (if not totally as produced) O gauge set. I have put a buy it now price at a very high level but I am happy to negotiate for anyone serious about buying it.

Postage is expensive because the set is very large and heavy . Everything will be individually wrapped before being placed in the box and a copious amount of packaging will surround the set and track. I only use Royal Mail and it will be insured
