Galaga '91 è un videogioco sparatutto del 1991 sviluppato e pubblicato da Namco per Game Gear. Il primo capitolo portatile della serie Galaxian, i giocatori controllano un caccia stellare solitario nella sua missione per sradicare le forze ostili di Galaga prima che conquistino la Terra. Il gioco ruota attorno all'abbattimento di formazioni di nemici ed all'evitare i loro proiettili.
Galaga '91 è stato sviluppato e pubblicato per Game Gear da Namco.

Come summenzionato, si trattava di una sorta di “primitiva” consolle portatile, come i game & watch Nintendo, che aveva uno scopo promozionale e serviva per raggiungere un numero maggiore di persone, considerato il prezzo di lancio molto popolare.
Il gioco, veniva quindi proposto in questa variante, su di un piccolo schermo lcd con comandi ben disposti e di ridotte dimensioni ed un piccolo altoparlante in grado di riprodurre i suoni del gioco.
Il funzionamento è demandato all’utilizzo di 2 batterie stilo da 1,5 Volt.
Considerazioni personali.
Il videogioco o più propriamente Lcd game Galaga 91 di Namco, mi è stato donato in occasione di un compleanno, circa 20 anni fa. Pur essendo un prodotto destinato all’intrattenimento, Io personalmente l’ho utilizzato molto poco, le condizioni parlano da sé. Dal punto di vista funzionale, il prodotto non manifesta alcuna problematica, lo schermo è in buone condizioni e ben visibile, non ho riscontrato problematiche di alcun tipo, così come per l’aspetto elettro-meccanico dei comandi che rispondono molto bene alla pressione delle dita. L’altoparlante riproduce i suoni del gioco senza manifestare problemi. Vano batteria pulito e privo di tracce di ossidazione.
Dal punto di vista estetico, il prodotto non manifesta affatto la sua età, le condizioni di conservazioni sono molto buone, oserei dire che è raro trovarlo in queste condizioni. Non vi sono graffi, fenditure o rotture sulla scocca in plastica, non vi sono imperfezioni tali da deturpare il design dell’oggetto. Potrebbero essere presenti lievissimi graffi ma assolutamente risibili e non tali da essere segnalati. Ho caricato a tal proposito molte immagini che rappresentano il prodotto nello stato in cui è. Le grafiche sono in condizioni eccellenti, non sono presenti “sbavature” o ingiallimenti, tantomeno mancanze.
Purtroppo non ho più la scatola che nel corso del tempo si è smarrita.

Personal considerations.
The video game or more properly LCD game Galaga 91 by Namco was given to me on the occasion of a birthday, about 20 years ago. Despite being a product intended for entertainment, I personally have used it very little, the conditions speak for themselves. From a functional point of view, the product does not show any problems, the screen is in good condition and clearly visible, I have not encountered any problems of any kind, as well as the electro-mechanical aspect of the controls which respond very well to finger pressure . The speaker reproduces game sounds without any problems. Battery compartment clean and free of traces of oxidation.
From an aesthetic point of view, the product does not show its age at all, the storage conditions are very good, I dare say that it is rare to find it in these conditions. There are no scratches, cracks or breaks on the plastic body, there are no imperfections that could disfigure the design of the object. There may be very slight scratches but they are absolutely laughable and not worth mentioning. In this regard, I have uploaded many images that represent the product in its current state. The graphics are in excellent condition, there are no "smudges" or yellowing, much less missing.
Unfortunately I no longer have the box which got lost over time.
