Vintage Old Town Ribbon & Carbon Co. Underwood Typewriter Ribbon Tin! Brooklyn Bridge!

Up for auction is a Vintage Old Town “Underwood” Typewriter Ribbon Advertising Tin! This vintage tin was made by the Old Town Ribbon & Carbon Co., Inc. in Brooklyn, New York back in the 1930s or 1940s! This is a rare typewriter ribbon tin with metal top and bottom sections measuring about 2½” square x ¾” tall. The tin has nice bright multi-color lithography advertising graphics in dark navy blue, gold, and red. The tin features the Brooklyn Bridge on its front and is marked “Underwood Black Record Elite #11 Inking” on the bottom. As shown in the photos, the tin is in very good condition for its age with nice bright colors and sharp lithography. There are a few small marks, scuffs or scratches, and some dents or dings typical for a container this old. The top and bottom fit together well, and the interior is pretty clean. This vintage Old Town typewriter ribbon advertising tin would make a great addition to your collection!

Take a look at the photos to best judge its condition. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions about the item, pictures or shipping before bidding. Please pay within 3 days of auction end, and I'll ship the advertising tin ASAP, usually within 2 days of payment received.

Thank you for your business! Every item I sell is guaranteed to be as described, and I do everything possible to provide 5 STAR service. If you are satisfied, please leave 5 Star positive feedback. If you are not fully pleased, let me know if there is anything I can do to improve the transaction before leaving any feedback. Almost all items are vintage: they were purchased at estate sales/auctions, yard/garage sales or flea markets, and are sold “as found”; the history of previous ownership and storage conditions of the items is unknown, and I have no idea if a previous owner smoked or had pets. I do not accept returned items simply because you’ve changed your mind. Shipping & Handling charges are not refundable. Attention International Customers: Import duties, taxes and charges are not included in the item price or shipping charges. These charges are the buyer’s responsibility. Please check with your country’s Customs Office to determine what these additional costs will be prior to bidding/buying. I do not mark merchandise values below value or mark items as “gifts” since US and international government regulations prohibit such behavior.
