c 1890 Antique Vienna Bronze: Franz Bergmann, Erotic Bedouin, Cold Painted

M. S. Rau, the great antique dealer, is selling one of these for $4950. 

This erotic Bedouin Bronze was created by the great Franz Bergmann--see his mark on the back of the carpet.  At first glance the Bedouin appears to be petting a cat, but upon further examination, the robes open to reveal a beautiful nude woman.  This was made toward the end of the 19th century.  It is about 2 1/4" wide, 2 3/4" deep and a bit more than 4" tall.
