Collector-quality 1985/86 original Nintendo R.O.B. Robotic Operating Buddy complete set with ALL original attachments! Very hard to find now 38+ years later in actual game play tested and fully functional condition, especially in this nice clean cosmetic condition! Most of these R.O.B. units seen offered now are typically not even tested to power on, let alone set up and connected and game play tested with an original NES system and CRT Monitor. Many ROB units now have defective gears inside which is a common problem from age and usage, corroded or damaged battery compartments from old batteries left in, and other issues that make them in need of internal repair to be able to actually use. This one is fully inspected, freshly serviced inside, everything tested, and fully operational as it was when new!
This R.O.B. completes the correct FULL power on self-test sequence set of movements. Starting from the bottom and his full left position, he opens his arms and moves all the way to right while also rising up to the top position, then moves back to center position ready for use. Many of these found now will not be able to perform the full range of all movements required for gameplay due to faulty internal gears from age and use. This one has been freshly serviced and fully tested and performs all the correct original movements needed for gameplay as originally designed!

This set is super clean, fully detailed all around, not dusty or dirty, plastic is not ugly yellowed and discolored like many are now. NO corrosion in the battery compartments of R.O.B. robot or the spinner attachment! Spinner is shown working with a gyro inserted, the blur can be seen on the fast-spinning gyro in the spinner in the one photo!
R.O.B. was game play tested just prior to listing connected to an properly functioning original NES system and vintage CRT color monitor, R.O.B. lights up and receives the signals from the CRT monitor; and responds to all the tests and the in game commands in Gryromite!
All photos of the exact R.O.B. and accessories buyer will receive, NOTHING else is included. NO NES system console system, no controllers, and no game cartridge included, but all of those will be needed to use this set for actual game play. Monitor is also not included, shown only to show this R.O.B. being play tested and working.
R.O.B. performs the correct power on self-test, moves up and down, side to side, and opens/closes arms properly. If you risk buying an untested old R.O.B. it will likely not work or stay in position properly as internal gear failure is very common from previous use and due to the age and the way the internal gears are designed. This one has been fully inspected internally, gears freshly repaired if needed, and all good! Moves in all directions and stays firmly in place in all positions on the post as originally designed!
R.O.B. will ONLY work for actual gameplay on an older CRT style television or monitor, NOT on any modern style TVs. Same as with an original NES Zapper gun, a CRT display is required to receive signals and register input from R.O.B. or an NES Zapper.
R.O.B. and all parts are in very clean and nice condition, not yellowed or discolored like many seen now are. There are some minor signs of previous use as expected. NO corrosion damage to the contacts in the battery compartments of the spinner or in ROB. Many of these will have heavily corroded battery terminals from old batteries being left in and leaking out over time in storage, ruining the contacts in R.O.B. and the spinner unit to the point they no longer function, or even break off if corroded badly enough! Batteries are not included- the spinner attachment uses one D size battery, and R.O.B. unit uses 4 AA size batteries.
This set was well obviously well cared for over the years and is in clean nice condition. Smoke-free climate controlled environment, so no smoke or old musty odors. Ready to prominently display with your early NES collection or in a game room as a part of early Nintendo and console gaming history!
