Up for sale is a Vintage “Galaxy Science Fiction” Pulp Magazine! This is the rare February 1955 issue, Volume 9 Number 5. This issue features Helpfully Yours by Evelyn E. Smith, The Cave of Night by James E. Gunn, Dead Man’s Planet by William Morrison, Open House by J. T. McIntosh, Pythias by Frederik Pohl, Blind Spot by Bascom Jones, Jr., and Rich Living by Michael Cathal. They are all the original first printings of these classic science fiction stories in any publication. This 144-page pulp magazine was published by the Galaxy Publishing Corporation and measures about 7⅛” x 5⅜”. The magazine features a wonderful painted cover by pulp artist Ed Emshwiller and illustrations by Ed Emshwiller, Mel Hunter, James Sentz, and Sanford Kossin inside. As shown in the photos, the magazine is in very good condition for its age with some cover wear and light soiling, including a store date stamp on the top edge. The paper is intact along the magazine’s spine, and the magazine is complete and remains well bound. Its interior pages are nice and clean with no writing, creases, rips, or tears. This rare vintage “Galaxy Science Fiction” pulp magazine would make a great addition to your collection!
