DescriptionUp for sale is a Vintage “Galaxy Science Fiction” Pulp Magazine! This is the rare June 1959 issue, Volume 17 Number 5. This issue features Whatever Counts by Frederik Pohl, Take Wooden Indians by Avram Davidson, Traveling Companion Wanted by Richard Wilson, Extracts from the Galactick Almanack: Music Around the Universe by Laurence M. Janifer (as by Larry M. Harris), Soft Touch by Daniel F. Galouye, and No Place for Crime by J. T. McIntosh. These are the original first printings of these classic science fiction stories in any publication. This 194-page pulp magazine was published by the Galaxy Publishing Corporation and measures about 7½” x 5½”. The magazine features a wonderful painted cover by pulp artist Ed Emshwiller and illustrations by Wally Wood, Diane Dillon and Leo Dillon, Don Martin, and Dick Francis inside. As shown in the photos, the magazine is in very good condition with very little cover wear and light soiling. The paper is intact along the magazine’s spine, and the magazine is complete and remains well bound. Its interior pages are nice and clean with no writing, creases, rips, or tears. This rare vintage “Galaxy Science Fiction” pulp magazine would make a great addition to your collection!
