The Ford Division was moving forward with completing a new business relationship with Carroll Shelby in 2006 and with its newest SVT Mustang already in the works in 2006, the model was then converted to the all-new 2007 Ford Shelby GT500. Now featuring its all-new S197 Mustang platform, this vehicle was pushing out a massive 500 horsepower from the factory with its supercharged 5.4L V8 engine which made this one of the most powerful factory-built Mustangs ever. Car And Driver performed tests of their own to find out the true performance times of this monster and with a 4.5 second 0-60 mph and a quarter-mile only taking 12.9 seconds, the truth was in the numbers. This vehicle pushed 112 mph in that quarter mile and would reach 150 mph in 30.3 seconds.
