This is an original admission ticket (approx. 3 1/2" x 3 5/8") to the August 16-18, 1968 shows at the historic Fillmore West in San Francisco. These shows featured Creedence Clearwater Revival, It's A Beautiful Day & Albert Collins (what I wouldn't give for a time machine). It was during these run of shows that (after two years of almost constant effort) the Grateful Dead finally "dosed" Bill Graham. With the help of Bear Owlsley the injected a soda can with acid, which Bill unknowingly drank from. Once stoned, Mickey Hart asked him if he wanted to come on stage and play the drums, Four hours later, after banging on a gong, Bill was still on stage playing a cowbell. He finally had figured out what the Dead's music was all about. This classic psychedelic sixties image was designed by the late Rick Griffin & Alton Kelley, and is the 133rd image in the Bill Graham Fillmore series. This beautiful ticket has been very carefully preserved for over fifty years, and remains in EXCELLENT/FLAWLESS condition. This is guaranteed to be ORIGINAL Fillmore ticket, and we will gladly issue a COA upon request. Shipping is $5 (U.S.), which we are always happy to combine on multiple purchases. Thank you for visiting my auction and please feel free to check out my other current offerings for similar Fillmore era items.
