This is a vintage second print poster (approx. 14" x 20", and printed very shorty after the shows by Chet Helms on GLOSSY STOCK. This is an authorized printing of this poster, not some later reprint or bootleg), promoting a series of shows featuring the Grass Roots, Daily Flash & Sopwith Camel. These shows took place July 1-3, 1966 at the Avalon Ballroom in San Francisco. This classic sixties psychedelic image, featuring an image of a suspended (in air) Salvadore Dali, was designed by the late Wes Wilson, and is the 15th image in the Family Dog series. The poster has been very carefully preserved for over fifty-five years, and remains in VERY GOOD condition, with some edge margin flaws. In the 25 years I have been collecting these posters, this is the only one of these I have ever had that was printed on glossy stock. I do not believe many are out there.
