1854 $10 The Bank of Chester note from Chester, South Carolina.

This note features a portrait of Calhoun under the bank title as well as twin "X" protectors in red. Printed by Toppan, Carpenter, Casilear & Co. 

This note grades Fine with paper breaks / splits on the TCC & Co. watermark, a ~1/2" tear on the top left, and hinge repairs on the reverse left end.
