Darling vintage LEFTON Santa Sleeping planter in Quilted Chair w original label NO chips

Do you collect Lefton ceramic pieces or vintage Christmas decorations? Then this is the item for you.

Up for auction is a charming vintage Lefton's ceramic piece in the shape of a Santa Claus sleeping in a large green quilted chair.

This piece stands approximately 6 inches tall at its tallest point, 3.5 inches across the back at its widest point, and 4 inches from front to back on the base. It has a large opening in the back (about 2 by 3 inches) so the piece could be used as a planter, vase, candy container, pencil cup or other stylish storage.

It has its original foil label on the bottom marked Lefton’s Reg US Pat Off Exclusives Japan, as well as a painted model number 2248.

I am no expert on these items, but it looks like it is in nice used condition to me. I did not see any chips. As you would expect of an item that has age and was used, it has light dust inside, a few tiny paint flecks missing on one side and a little dirt in spots.

I did not want to inadvertently damage the finish by cleaning it, so I will leave the decision on whether to clean this piece up to the lucky winning bidder.
