A pair of gorgeous fine quality Chinese Cloisonné Baluster vases dating to the mid 20th Century. These beautiful examples have intricate wire work with a fabulous deep blue enamel ground. Their intricate design, includes 5 clawed dragons amongst a background of flowers, scrolls and clouds. Both come complete with their original hardwood stands. 

Chinese symbolism:

Dragons with five claws show the privilege of the emperor. They traditionally also symbolise potent and auspicious powers, particularly control over water.
