Great Lakes Freighter Reserve Built 1953

 Size 4 x 6 Photo

The Reserve was constructed in 1952 as a gearless bulk carrier.

The Reserve was one of eight ships built along the AAA class lines, the others being her identical sisters Arthur M. Anderson, Cason J. Callaway, Philip R. Clarke, and William Clay Ford, and the near-identical J. L. Mauthe, Armco, and Edward B. Greene.

Sold in 2008 and Renamed James L. Kuber.

In 2019 She was Sold again and Renamed Maumee. The only boat of this class to be scrapped was the William Clay Ford

Almost a cruel joke she was the youngest AAA on the lakes.
