Presented is a wonderful English Staffordshire New Hall tea cup and saucer set dating to circa 1790-1815. This set is a mixture of standard size tea cups and taller, narrower cups that are more demitasse style, with one size of saucer that works for both. The set consists of 8 standard tea cups, 6 demitasse cups, and 12 saucers. This set has a beautiful interweaving pattern of cobalt blue waves, gold bauble garlands, and stars, with vibrant gold rims. Golden leafy vines gives this set a lovely design that will brighten your afternoon tea experience. This set was most likely produced sometime between the late 1790s and 1815.

This set is in great overall condition, particularly for the age. There is some minor wear to the gilding here and there, most notably on some of the rims and to the circled cross design in the center of a couple of the saucers, as you'd see from the pieces being stored in a stack. Of the standard tea cups, one has crazing and discoloration, particularly to the center interior. The rest of the standard tea cups and all of the demitasse cups are great, and ring nicely when tapped.
