Reproduction Holster made by Stewart Historic Saddlery of Ash Fork, AZ.
Made in 1997 just before the Centennial of the War with Spain, and used as a photo prop for my Book on the Rough Riders, "Cowboys In Uniform". As we all know Lt.Col. T. Roosevelt carried a Navy issue Colt DA that was drug-up from the USWS Maine that went down 2-15-98. His original Holster he used has been lost over the years. So what would TR have used to carry this weapon? I don't believe he'd carry it in a regulation USN marked holster. It made sense that he would simply get a local gun store (back when Washington DC had such things) to make him one, or ask his uniform supplier to do so.
I used this holster not only for my book, buy carried to many living history events in AZ, NM, Texas, FL, OK, and lastly NY. during those fun times, Celebrating the Centennial of 1898-1998.
It's in perfect shape, ready to use.
The Capt. Uniform, Saber and Belt are also up for sale . Please look for them under "seller other listings".

Made with Herman Oak leather , hand cut and fitted . Hand stitched with linen thread , Iron dyed black . Oiled and soaped ready to use .

The original 1892 Colt is not part of this transaction and is only seen here as a prop .
