On the bottom edge of the text block, the gilt edge is marred is several places. There are a few scratches, and right at the spine the texture of the gilt changes a bit. It looks like this was from moisture, as there are quite a few pages where something pink has leeched up between the pages and stained them, in the bottom inside corners where they come together.
