First Issue Bubblecut Barbie Doll:

This lovely Bubblecut Barbie doll is marked "Barbie ® Pats. Pend. © MCMLVIII by Mattel Inc." Her foot is marked JAPAN. She is a first issue Bubblecut doll made by Mattel in 1961. Barbie has gorgeous dark red hair, orange/red lipstick, blue eyeliner, black lashes and medium brown eyebrows. Her ears are pierced and her nails are painted red. She will come to you wearing her original back and white striped swimsuit. This beautiful doll would make a fantastic addition to your collection! 

Condition:

Barbie has seen play time but still looks lovely! She has nice face paint with some paint loss on the lash tips and on the lips. Great eyebrows! She has no green ear, no neck splits, no nose nips. Her hair is full and thick with a firm texture. She does not appear to be missing and plugs nor has her hair been trimmed.

Barbie's body shows light scuffing and scratches from play but she is evenly toned. Her leg stance is very slightly uneven. Barbie's arms and legs move easily and hold a pose firmly. Nail polish is present on most of her fingers but is faded on her toes. NO cigarette smoke or mildew odors. Her swimsuit is clean but has some popped stitches on the leg holes.
