Antique Henry Smyth English Box. 1836.
Recently found at an estate sale. The inscription reads Henry Smyth To (s-ino sinjorino ("Mrs.") A Caldwell.
While I have no documentation to say this was a gift from the famous English Admiral and Astronomer William Henry Smyth.. Whom else named Henry Smyth in 1836 England would have the wealth to give such a thing as a gift.
Excellent condition for its age. Secret compartment on top and removable tray.
