Italian Line: The Albert Brenet portrait of the MICHELANGELO from the Moran Tow Line series.

The portrait measures 15" by 22" and printed on a thick, textured stock, suitable for framing.

This is one of my favorite. Vintage American cars are zipping by along the West Side Highway. On the far side of the pier, the funnel of the LEONARDO DA VINCI is visible with steaming rushing from her whistle, signaling her arrival. Beyond her is one regal funnel of the QUEEN MARY. Across from the MICHELANGELO, the bow of North German Lloyd's EUROPA is just visible. The scene was painted in 1966 or 1967.

The image appeared on the Spring 1967 issue of the Moran Towing house journal, Tow Line. Readers could write in and Moran would send them this print at no charge.

From the Braynard Collection and in excellent condition.
