SEM4" is a replacement all-in-one DAC module for the fourth A&futura SE180 with the ultimate sound solution "TERATON ALPHA" that integrates key circuits. The latest AKM DAC "AK4493SEQ" is employed in a dual DAC configuration, using one left and one right, for a total of two units. The latest DAC, AK4493SEQ, is a premium DAC that uses AKM's VELVET SOUND™ technology to reproduce natural sound with even lower noise and distortion, and offers extremely low distortion and wide dynamic range. Advanced switches, capacitors, and other technologies developed to achieve low power consumption enable the longest continuous playback time of approximately 14 hours among the DAC modules for SE180, and low noise. It also supports native playback of PCM up to 768kHz/32bit and DSD512. The DAC module is the first Astell&Kern portable audio player to feature a Digital Audio Remastering (DAR) function. This enables real-time upsampling of sound sources, resulting in more subtle and richer sound expression. SEM4 also supports 3.5mm 3-pole, 2.5mm 4-pole balanced, and 4.4mm 5-pole balanced connections. Balanced and unbalanced connections are separated by channel, providing the best possible sound through independent circuit designs that do not interfere with each other.
