A year after Volvo took over the Dutch car manufacturer DAF, the Volvo 66 was presented in 1975. It was basically an updated DAF 66 with a Volvo badge. The DAF 66 had been produced since 1972.
As a Volvo, the model came as a two-door sedan and a three-door hatchback. One of the car´s most distinctive characteristics was the continuously variable transmission, Variomatic. The model was available with two different engines of 1.1 and 1.3 liters, both of which were from Renault. The Volvo 66 was oin the market until 1980, when it was replaced by Volvo´s 300 series.
This yellow 1:43 scale model of a 2-door Volvo 66 is the 53rd in the series from the Editions Atlas Volvo Collection.
The model car series consists of a total of 90 different models and was produced from 2011 to 2019. Originally, the series was
only available for subscription to customers in the Nordic countries (Denmark, Finland, Norway and Sweden). Later the
model series also became available on subscription for customers in the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, France, Austria and Switzerland.
All subscribers first received the first three models in the series and then continued to receive the latest models.
There is therefore a big difference in the distribution of the individual models. The first three are of course the most widespread,
while others are considerably less widespread, and are therefore also rarely seen offered for sale. This is a rare model.

Brand new in sealed original box. Original info booklet (in Danish/Norwegian/Finnish) is included.
The sealing may have cracks, the box may have storage marks and the inner plastic cover may be deformed.
