This is a good quality sextant produced by or on behalf of Reed & Co of Sunderland dating to around the mid 19th Century.
The sextant is in good working order with all filters and mirrors intact and the whole apparatus moving smoothly. The graduated arc bears the engraving: 'Reed & Co. Sunderland'.
