Andy Warhol Rare Original c.1956
Reclining Male Nude Line Drawing
This original line drawing by Andy Warhol around 1956 comes
directly from the artist’s estate. The sparse yet provocative contours of the
figure, especially his lower torso, reveal Warhol's interest in the power of
love, sex, and desire. In the 1950s, well before his rise to Pop art fame,
Warhol created and exhibited drawings of men in pursuit of his career as a fine
artist, a highly controversial and bold move at the time. This is a unique
opportunity to purchase a drawing from Warhol’s personal collection.
