This unit is in excellent physical and working condition. As seen in pictures and video, all functions and features work as they are intended to. The only real damage is a small chip of plastic out of the tuning knob which doesn't effect the operation.   As you can see in the video I can tune up and down without an issue.

The battery compartment is clean as you can see in the pictures. I have this in my basement and have a wire clipped to the antenna as you can see.  This leads to a 20 foot long wire outside that I have as an antenna. It works fine with the built in telescopic antenna but not to good in my basement.   Upstairs it's fine. 

While this is in great working shape, it is sold for Parts or Repair due to scammers, parts swappers, etc.  It takes 6 D size batteries and 2 AA batteries.  The AA ones run the clock and keep the time and channel memory.  The 6 D cells run the radio.  It will come without the D cells but I'll leave the 2 AA cells in there because they are hard to get out and also hard to get in. (But they last a LONG time)

I have to add a disclaimer here. I can not guarantee reception in your area or for any particular type of station.  I have no idea of your terrain, location to stations, transmit power of stations, and whatever mountains or hills may be in the way or if you are in a valley. Shortwave reception is also very dependent on the weather, time of day, and sunspot activity.  Generally it's better at night than during the day. This picks up across all bands here at my house. There is a switch on the back to use an External antenna and a jack for that antenna.   In the video I am using a 20 foot long piece of wire strung between 2 trees in my backyard.
