Wow!  I recently found this guaranteed authentic (NOT a reproduction) army/military Civil War register out of a local estate.  It is dated September 1, 1863 and includes lists of the officers, privates, staff, battles, skirmishes, etc. related to Company K of the First Pennsylvania Volunteer Cavalry.  See the photo for details.  Apparently the  soldiers were in some big battles, including Gettysburg, Fredericksburg, Bull Run and others, as well as a number of "skirmishes".  It even lists some of the deceased and deserters.  The paper has browned with age and there is some wrinkling, but that is to be expected for something over 160 years old.  It is framed with what appears to be original glass (it is an old rolled glass pane with typical irregularities in the glass).  The wood frame has paint loss, nicks, scratches and general wear, but it's still pretty solid, especially for its age.  The backing is thin wood sheets.  All appears to be original and I doubt the register has ever been removed from the frame.  The register itself (that shows in the frame) is about 21.5 by 16.75 inches.

GENERAL PROVISIONS:

All photos are of the actual item(s) I'm selling.

By bidding on this sale (or making a Buy It Now purchase) you agree to the following terms and conditions:

IF AN ITEM IS LISTED "FOR PARTS OR REPAIR" OR "AS IS", THERE ARE ABSOLUTELY NO RETURNS ACCEPTED.

I always reserve the right to purchase at my own expense Signature Confirmation and require the package to be signed for on delivery to the buyer.

SHIPPING IN GENERAL: I will send you an invoice via the eBay check-out system. You are responsible for all shipping charges (see the "Shipping Calculator").

I almost always provide a choice of mre than one type of shipping, so look at the "Shipping Calculator" to see the different types and prices of shipping you can select.  Also, local pickup here in Topeka, Kansas is always available for free (just let me know and I'll send a revised invoice if that's the way you want to go).

COMBINED SHIPPING: I AM ALWAYS GLAD TO DO COMBINED SHIPPING IF YOU PURCHASE MORE THAN ONE ITEM, BUT I MAY HAVE TO SEND YOU A REVISED INVOICE TO LOWER THE TOTAL SHIPPING TO WHAT IT SHOULD BE.  PLEASE WAIT FOR THE REVISED INVOICE BEFORE PAYING.

INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING: I'm enrolled in the eBay International Shipping Program.  I send it to a hub here in the United States and then eBay handles the rest of the shipping.  That is the ONLY way I send international packages.  See the "Shipping Calculator" to see the shipping quote for this sale.

HANDLING CHARGES: The cost of mailing materials keeps going up, and I package things well (see my feedback). So, to cover some of these every-increasing costs, and as eBay allows in its rules, I must now include an additional 50-cents "handling charge" on most sales to defray my expenses.  If you make multiple purchases I only charge the 50-cent fee once for the entire shipment (and not once per item).

PAYMENT and SALES TAX: I am part of eBay's "Managed Payments" system.  EBay collects sales taxes, and I have no control over that.

RETURNS: Everything I sell is purchased at estate sales, auctions, and other sales, and I am NOT an expert on anything that I sell.  Also I'll say it again, IF AN ITEM IS LISTED FOR PARTS OR REPAIR OR AS IS, OR OTHERWISE LISTED AS BEING SOLD WITH NO RETURNS, THERE ARE NO RETURNS ALLOWED.  NO EXCEPTIONS.

MISC: I DON'T END AUCTIONS EARLY, and if I didn't list it as a "Buy It Now" item then I don't intend to offer it that way, so there is no reason to ask.

If eBay has some sort of problem during this sale, I reserve the right to cancel the sale and re-list the item.

If there are props or such in the photo, they are not included in the sale (rulers, display shelves, coins to show size, mannequin heads, etc.).

I leave feedback AFTER the buyer leaves feedback.

Last of all, this is a second job for me, and I have a job during the day, as well as a family, so I will get back to you as quickly as I can. So, it is a good idea to not wait until the last minute to contact me with questions.

THANK YOU!
