Churchs’ “Custom Grade” is the quality on which their reputation is based; one of the great English shoes…and the few Shell Cordovan they produced are now the coveted prizes of avid collectors. With double sole and split reverse welt (storm welt). Massive!

This shoe was first sold in Church’s Madison Avenue flagship store, judging from the early logo most likely in the 1960, and it is sized according to American sizing. The overall effect is remarkably elegant for so ironclad a shoe. Church’s could build a shoe to compete with and, frankly, surpass even many American cordovan producers (I shall not mention names) in detail and finish. This is a shoe for your lifetime…as it used to be!
