For sale is a Vibrant Rainbow Toned 1938-D/S 5C Buffalo Nickel graded MS67+ (MS67 Plus) by PCGS. It is in a Gold Shield holder and comes with professional TrueView imaging. This coin’s wonderful toning along with a PCGS population of 74 and only 8 graded higher make it a true rarity.

A similar example sold earlier this year for $2,174 in a Legend Rare Coin auction and that example had less appealing toning. Another similar example with more comparable toning sold in a Heritage Auction for $2,640 in late 2022.
