Art Nouveau HM 1920 Sterling Silver & Enamelled
Lidded Cosmetic Jar & Receiver
This is a lovely pair from a dressing table set, a round
bomb shaped jar and matching hair receiver that date to the art nouveau era.
They have silver push on caps with a light blue guilloche enamel over a basket
weave engine turned pattern. The jars are cut crystal with concave ribs to the walls
and a star cut to the underside. The sterling silver tops are hallmarked
Birmingham 1920 with maker’s initials of “I·M·H” for I M Hutchfield, Harford
Works, Harford Street, Birmingham.
We have listed other pieces of collectable silver,
jewellery and watches this week, please refer to our other listings.
The jars are in good antique condition, no faults
or damage to report, some minor age wear and some minor bee sting nicks to the ribs,
felt rather than seen. The pictures are part of the description and condition
report.
Measure: each H7.8cm x 9.3cm max diameter; 509g

Please look at all the pictures, they are a really important part of the description and condition report.
