Art Nouveau HM 1920 Sterling Silver & Enamelled Lidded Cosmetic Jar & Receiver

This is a lovely pair from a dressing table set, a round bomb shaped jar and matching hair receiver that date to the art nouveau era. They have silver push on caps with a light blue guilloche enamel over a basket weave engine turned pattern. The jars are cut crystal with concave ribs to the walls and a star cut to the underside. The sterling silver tops are hallmarked Birmingham 1920 with maker’s initials of “I·M·H” for I M Hutchfield, Harford Works, Harford Street, Birmingham.
