Presented is a gorgeous pair of 18 karat gold, pearl, and pink spinel earrings
by jewelry designer Paula Crevoshay. Each earring is done in a dangle or drop
form, with a rosy pink pearl supporting a round cut pink spinel and elongated
freshwater pearl drop. The pink faceted stones have a wonderful sparkle to them,
and complement the warm golden pink of the pearls beautifully. The pearls
measure about 8.6 millimeters in diameter, while the pink spinel stones measure
about 4.6 millimeters in diameter. The pink spinels are real, natural mined from
the ground stones, verified by our gemologist. These are unique, hand chosen
stones, as you'd expect from a designer with Paula Crevoshay's stated commitment
to integrity and artistic vision. These earrings are made in an antiquities
inspired style, with granulated beadwork decorating the settings of the round
pearl and round spinel, reminiscent of Etruscan Revival pieces. The earrings
have butterfly style backs with posts for wear with pierced ears. 

Paula Crevoshay, the designer of these earrings, is known for her use of
colorful and exotic gemstones and for drawing inspiration from the natural world
as well as cultures from all across the globe. Her work is displayed in (and, in
some instances, even commissioned by) renowned institutions and museums like the
Smithsonian, Carnegie Museum, the Gemological Institute of America in New York,

she is not just an artist but an authority, sought after for her lectures on art
history, design, and the science of gemstones, all of which knowledge she brings

These earrings were acquired from an estate along with several other fine
pieces of Paula Crevoshay's work, many of which came to us with their original
receipts from EF Watermelon in Old Lyme, Connecticut, the brainchild gallery of
two of the founding members of the American Gem Trade Association, which both
gave a platform to jewelry artists like Paula Crevoshay and others of similar
renown and supplied them with unique and high end gemstones in their capacity as
dealers in fine gems. EF Watermelon showcased and sold her work directly, making
these earrings single-owner pieces of undisputed authenticity. 

The earrings are in excellent condition. The stones and pearls are clean and
well set.

Each earring is stamped and guaranteed 18k as well as the maker's mark for
Paula Crevoshay. Even the backs are stamped with her mark and 18k.

Each earring measures about 1 5/8 inches long by about 3/4 of an inch wide.

The total weight for the pair is 14.3 grams.
