In 1992, Tamiya released a 1/10 scale R/C assembly kit of the NISSAN R91CP, the winner of the 1992 24 Hours of Daytona. This re-release features the same chassis components as the 1992 original.

The ABS bathtub chassis incorporates resin space frames and a front FRP lower deck to give the chassis superb strength. The suspension features a front-independent kingpin/coil spring and a rear 3-point setup with a 1.5mm thick T-bar and CVA oil damper. Combined with high-grip sponge tires, it provides superb road-holding capability. In addition, ground clearance adjustment is possible for both the front and rear. A Direct-Drive 2WD system offers sharp throttle response and features a ball differential.
