A 1969/70 Herald 1200 in need of MUCH T.L.C.  I bought this as a running driving car , sadly the bodywork has had a great deal of welded repairs and needs many more . At my age it's too much to attempt .  The engine is excellent with no rattles etc on start up ,no smoke or breathing . The driveshafts, axle etc have NO clonks or vibrations and the brakes/suspension seem to have had recent work . The clutch WAS fine but first/reverse are VERY noisy and will require attention . Standing over winter the clutch seems to have 'stuck' and will not disengage so unfortunately the car will need to be transported from here . The car has an EXCELLENT black interior without splits and non 'scuffed' door trim panels . It recently had a good quality but poorly fitted carpet set , however it will need refitting after attending to the clutch and floors anyway ! I feel that this car suffers with being worth more in parts than as a whole car . The interior/ mechanicals almost justify a restoration though ! YOUR CHOICE !

The car is in Ipswich Suffolk .
