DESCRIPTION:
As I prepared my listing, It brought to mind that 2024 marks the 113th Anniversary of
the New York, Triangle Shirtwaist Factory Fire. As a Historian, I thought it only proper to 
remember the victims of the tragedy in my listing.

It is my honour to present a most beautiful shirtwaist of fine tissue lawn & expert
tailoring.  Raised Ayshire & French cut-work adorn the chest & arm cuffs. Lace insertion 
bars intermingle with the fine lawn on the side, chest, back & arm cuffs.
Fine tailored faggoting is used at the seams.  (See photo's)
All original buttons & closures are intact & present. One hook & eye at the top
to close the neck. Closures include the fabric, pull over cotton/silk cord button 
closures at the cuffs. Cotton woven ties at back waist help to customise fit &
accentuate the pigeon breast, S-Bend style.

This beautiful shirtwaist for spring breathes new life into an entire entire 
Edwardian wardrobe. The waist is quite versatile for work, walking & afternoon
teas. Easily paired with one's different skirts & walking suits.
Refreshing each ensemble for strolling the gardens & the warmer afternoons
ahead. At the neck, interwoven through the lace, is a soft, black velvet ribbon.
Adding just a bit of colour to pair with one's black walking & afternoon skirts.
May benefit from a light soak.

Excellent, wearable condition with respect to age.  I find one period repair near
on the lower back right near the tie closure. Typical age yellowing.
A added panel of cotton lawn seems
to have been added at the back near the hem.
In remembrance of the Triangle Shirtwaist Fire, I have featured online photo's
in the lineup.

CONDITION & REMARKS:
Excellent Condition with little to report.
One woven period repair at lower back tie closure area.
Typical age yellowing throughout.
Some stray/fray threads that may or may not need a clipping.

If I have missed something, it is because I cannot
