MEDIUM ANTIQUE APOTHECARY BOTTLE

A late 19th or early 20th century clear glass round apothecary/chemist/pharmacy bottle, complete with stopper.  It stands approximately 19.5cm tall overall and 8cm in diameter, and has the less common shield-shaped label with gilt edging, under glass and bearing the words "TINCT: FER: PERC:", which has deteriorated around the edges (see photographs).  The bottle is made from moulded glass and is marked "E S & Co L  Registered No 263897" on the base.

Both bottle and stopper are in good condition but do show the normal signs of wear commensurate with age and use.

Although this bottle has been rinsed out, it has not been sterilised; any residual material has no medicinal value, could be dangerous and should not be used.

Please see my other listings for more bottles.  For multiple purchases postage and packaging costs will be combined where possible.

INTERNATIONAL BUYERS please note: I use the Royal Mail to send items to non-UK buyers, not the ebay global shipping programme.  The postage price quoted is the maximum shipping could cost per item and will be reduced if the actual price proves lower.  Multiple purchases will be combined where possible to reduce shipping costs.
If buying internationally, please wait for an invoice before paying.

Please note that most of my items are either antique or vintage and as such are likely to be in a used or worn condition and may show signs of wear (i.e scratches, nicks and/or rubbing), so please take this into consideration when bidding.  I always do my best to mention any significant flaws but what some people consider ‘damage’ may just be ‘wear and tear’ to others.  Descriptions are based on my observations – but I’m no expert!  If you require more information, please contact me BEFORE the end of this auction.  Thanks for looking!
