A late 19^th or early 20^th century ribbed clear glass round apothecary/chemist/pharmacy bottle, complete with stopper.  It stands approximately 23cm tall overall and 9cm in diameter, and has the less common shield-shaped red label with gilt edging, under glass and bearing the words "TINCT: CAMPH: CO:".  The bottle is made from moulded glass and is marked "E S & Co L  Registered No 263897" on the base. 

The bottle has a small stable crack to the neck, while the stopper has a small chip to the underside (see photographs).  Both show the normal signs of wear commensurate with age and use.

Although this bottle has been rinsed out, it has not been sterilised; any residual material has no medicinal value, could be dangerous and should not be used.
