Presented is a pair of Paris porcelain urns from the mid-1800s, approximately
1825-1850. This set of French urns have beautiful delicate gilded design which
show leaves and vines. The base and boarders are also gilded as well as the
handles. There are handles on the sides of each urn. At the base of these handles, there is a small face.
The base is attached to the bowl of the urn with a secure screw.
This pair has some wear and fading to the gilding, especially around the
upper boarder. The screws are not original to the pieces; they have been
replaced recently. There are a few small hairline cracks towards the bottom of
each urn, but nothing that will affect the function of the piece. Overall this pair is in great
condition, especially considering age.
Measurements (each piece): 3x 3 inch base, 6 inch diameter at top, 8 1/2
inches tall
