Peter M. Fillerup (Born 1953): Born and raised amidst the rugged beauty of Cody, Wyoming, renowned sculptor Melvin M. Fillerup found his artistic calling early under the guidance of his father, the esteemed painter Mel Fillerup. With a foundation laid in his youth, Fillerup further honed his craft at Brigham Young University and under the mentorship of the renowned sculptor Dr. Avard Fairbanks. Specializing in western subjects, Fillerup's talent and dedication have led to prestigious commissions, including the iconic Centennial statues for Utah and life-size pioneer sculptures adorning Salt Lake City's Historic Park.
