This is one of our better laptops and comes equipped with an SSD (for faster boot times, opening and closing applications and read/write speeds - it also gives better battery life).

It is a business-class laptop that has been well maintained and has been expertly cleaned and tested in our professionally equipped workshop. It is a solid and reliable choice for word-processing, spreadsheets, email, social media, photos, videos, Teams, Zoom and Skype, shopping, banking, YouTube, Netflix, catch-up TV and basic gaming.

Detailed description of condition:

Please see the photos of the actual laptop for a clear view of all the surfaces. We over expose the photos to give a clearer view of any scratches or marks - we want you to be pleasantly surprised when you receive your laptop (see our feedback for proof!). There are no cracks or missing parts, the hinges are in good working order and the keys/touchpad/buttons are all functioning correctly, as are all the ports. It has been thoroughly cleaned internally to remove dust and the thermal paste has been replaced as necessary.

Lid and base: Superficial cosmetic storage marks.

Screen and bezel: Good, bright image. No marks on the bezel.

Keyboard: Key caps are clearly visible with no apparent wear.

Touchpad and buttons: Fully functional with no apparent wear.

Wristrest: Very clean, no apparent wear.

We rigorously test all our laptops to ensure that everything is working as it should and that all the device drivers are updated and compatible with the latest version of Windows 11.

In addition to a digitally licensed and activated copy of Windows, the software includes the latest version of Libre Office, an open source productivity suite compatible with Microsoft Office. Also includes 7-zip and VLC Media Player.

Includes charger and lead (UK). The battery is in working condition and holds a charge (see photos for capacity at idle).

Great care has been taken to ensure that your laptop arrives in the same high condition it left and so it will be sent carefully packaged in a high quality laptop box. Orders made by 9pm will be booked with our courier for collection the next working day. Free standard delivery is usually 2 to 3 days. Q:      Who are you?

A:      We are Acorn Community Recycling Ltd, a fundraising arm of Acorn Community Care Ltd, a registered charity which supports people with autism and learning disabilities. We are based in Norton, North Yorkshire. All profits on sales go towards funding the great work we do here.

Q:      Do you offer a warranty?

A:      We have a 30-day free return policy. Our laptops have been in use in a working environment but have been well maintained. We thoroughly check for physical damage, faulty components and software problems. Minor physical damage or wear which does not affect full functionality is clearly described and shown in the photos.

Q:      What software is included?

A:      Windows 11. 7-zip. VLC Media Player. Libre Office.

Q:      I need MS Office. Can you provide this?

A:      MS Office 365 is now a subscription service, so we cannot preinstall this. The Libre Office installed on our laptops offers similar functionality and is compatible with MS files.

Q:      Does the laptop have a password?

A:      No. You are advised to use a free Microsoft account with your own password to secure the device.
