The El-Nikkor 50 mm f/2.8 N is not only known as a very solid enlarging lens, but also as an excellent performer as a taking lens. It's very good close-up, but (unlike a number of similar enlarging lenses) it does hold its quality far into the distance. It's lightweight, very well built and easy to reverse if needed.

This lens looked great outside, but had some fungus on the glass. It was possible to remove it quite easily and image quality suggests there was barely any impact, but if you want to make sure, I would certainly recommend giving it a proper cleaning.
