Das "B-Form" Service von Ernst August Leuteritz ist das herausragende Beispiel des Meissener Historismus. 

Kennzeichnend für diesen Stil ist das freie Zitieren von Elementen vorangegangener Epochen, vor allem aus Renaissance, Barock oder Rokoko, die auch miteinander kombiniert werden. Prunkvoll und sehr opulent geht es bei der Entstehung dieses Meisterstücks europäischer Tafelkultur zu: Purpur, die Farbe der Kaiser und Könige sowie aufwendige, mit einer 23-karätigen Goldschicht überzogene Reliefs und Ränder zeichnen dieses prachtvoll dekorierte Stück aus. 

Der Buchstabe "B" steht für den Kennbuchstaben der ursprünglichen Formennummer des Meissener Archivs.
