Highly decorative folk oil painting of an American clipper off the coast. Circel of the famous British painter Frederick J. Tudgay who were synonymous with such scenes. A mixed media of what looks like thin oils (to the sails) and watercolours on paper.  

Age- c1890

Size- 9 by 11 inches approx including frame, image 3.5 by 5.5 inches approx

Medium- Oils and watercolours on paper.

Frame- Old glazed wooden frame, some knocks, offered free with the painting.

Condition- We would be very happy to hang this one as found. Generally good though a vertical glue mark to the left hand margin. The odd very small mark in places. 

Signature- Unsigned.
